New Flooring

Solid Wood Flooring 
Schumacher & Co installs only the best hardwood flooring from America and Canada, including red and white oak, maple, hickory, ash, and cherry. Solid hardwood is available in a variety of milling orientations, which reveal different grain patterns and offer different performance goals. Solid wood floors are extremely durable and you’ll be able to recoat and refinish a solid wood floor several times over its life. Installation must be made over approved wooden sub-floors above grade because solid wood floors are more sensitive to moisture. All solid wood floors must be nailed down. Solid hardwood flooring is available as pre-finished or can be custom finished on site.

Engineered Flooring 
Engineered Hardwood Flooring is formed by laminating several layers of hardwood together. You can use engineered hardwood flooring anywhere in your home because it is less affected by shifts in humidity. Schumacher & Co. can install this type of floor over almost any type of subfloor, and the floor may be floated, stapled, or glued down.
